Card 14
King of Pentacles
Description
A king sits on a throne carved with bulls. Grapes on his robe, a coin in his left hand, a sceptre in his right. The castle behind him is something he built, not something he inherited. The King of Pentacles is wealth that compounds. Slow, deliberate, real.

Upright Meanings
You've built something that holds. Money, position, a life that runs without constant rescue. The card says trust the system you've already proven. Stay in the long game. If someone in your life fits this picture, they're worth listening to. They know what stable costs.
Reversed Meanings
Two ways this lands. Either money has become the only metric and the rest of you is paying for it. Or the discipline that built this is gone, and you're spending what should be saved. Same throne, different problem. Look at where the cost is showing up: relationships, health, integrity. Adjust there.
In a reading
Love
Upright
Steady, reliable, in it for the long term. Slow to commit because commitment means something. Once they're in, they stay.
Reversed
Possessive or absent. Both versions of the same problem. Care is being measured in stuff, not presence. Name what's actually missing.
Career
Upright
Mature, established, respected. Either you're stepping into that role or someone like that is mentoring you. Use the access.
Reversed
Either someone above you is using position badly, or you're stuck and stale. Don't engage with the power play. Focus on your own work.
Money
Upright
Money is working. Discipline paid off. Enjoy some of it — the point of building was never to hoard.
Reversed
Money is loud right now. Either bleeding out or being clutched too tight. The fix is the same: look at the actual numbers.
Feelings
Upright
They see you as worth investing in. Steady regard, not a rush. They're thinking in years, not weeks.
Reversed
Insecurity dressed as control. They're not sure they're enough, so they grip harder. Or you are, and it shows.
What to do
Upright
Keep doing what's working. Set a clear long-term goal and fund it. Skip the shortcut.
Reversed
Loosen the grip on control. Ask for help, accept a mentor, take a course. Pride is the thing in the way.
Elemental
Fire of Earth.
