Upright Meanings

Something is being done in the dark. Maybe by you, maybe to you. Cutting corners, working around the rule instead of through it, telling part of the truth. The Seven of Swords doesn't say it won't work. It says the cost of getting caught is higher than the cost of doing it straight. There's also a clean read here: sometimes the right move is to go alone, off the consensus path, and trust your own angle.

Reversed Meanings

The cover starts to slip. Either someone's about to confess or someone's about to be found out. Could also be the inside version: you're lying to yourself about how this is going. Feeling like a fraud. Hiding the truth from the person who needs it most, which is usually you. The way out is the boring one. Say the thing.
