Card 12
The Hanged Man
Description
A man hangs upside down from a living tree, one foot bound, the other tucked behind. His face is calm. A halo around his head. He's not stuck. He chose this. The Hanged Man is the moment you stop trying to make it happen and watch what shifts.

Upright Meanings
Stop pushing. The thing you've been forcing isn't going to move because you push harder. Sometimes the work is to hang there, look at it from a different angle, and let what's true become visible. The pause isn't lost time. It's where the next move actually forms. Surrender isn't defeat. It's giving up the version of the plan that wasn't working.
Reversed Meanings
You know you need to pause. You're not pausing. You're filling the time with tasks so you don't have to look at the actual question. Or you've been stalled so long the stillness has gone stale. The body is asking for rest. The mind keeps running. One of them is going to win eventually.
