Card 16
The Tower
Description
A tower on a cliff, struck by lightning. Flames in the windows, two figures falling. The building was put up on the wrong foundation. The bolt makes that visible, all at once. The Tower doesn't ask permission.

Upright Meanings
Something built on shaky ground is coming down. A job, a belief, a relationship, a story you've been telling yourself. It looks like disaster from the inside. From outside it's correction. The thing was already broken. Now you can see it. The shock is bad. The clarity that comes after is good.
Reversed Meanings
Two reads. Either you saw the collapse coming and softened it. Or you're holding the tower up with your bare hands and it's going to fall harder when you let go. The change is happening. Resisting only changes the cost.
